VIDEO: Calvin Johnson Presents 'Top Ten' List On David Letterman's Show
Now that he is on the cover of Madden 13 , it should come as no surprise that Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is suddenly showing up on promotional stops for the game. On Thursday night at the 2012 NFL Draft, for example, Johnson was brought to the stage by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to be recognized as the new cover athlete and to announce the Lions' first-round pick . Then, on Friday night, Johnson made an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. Johnson was there to present the "Top Ten Pieces Of Advice For Young Athletes." Check it out:
Yes, there was even a Kardashian reference in there. Stay away, Calvin. Stay far, far away from them.
In all seriousness, expect to see Johnson quite a bit in the media in the coming months as a result of landing the cover of the game. As he anticipated , being on the cover is already garnering a lot of attention for both him and the Lions, and I'm sure this will continue to be the case in the lead-up to the game being released in the summer.
The Lions were getting a bad reputation nationally
From the Suh stomp, all the penalties in the Saints game and all the weed busts. I can’t think of a better way to make people think better of the Lions than putting Calvin Johnson on TV as much as possible.
Amen.
That guy is Jerry Rice 2. All talent and class, absolutely no ego.
I think not only he is a class act but also shy .. I can’t stand in front of any camera and look normal either …
With Letterman joking around abt “Urlacher knows you”, I wanted Megatron to say, “Yes I know him and if you keep this up, I will give him your address David”
Class
He carries himself with class and dignity. He and Stafford are great faces of the franchise. After seeing Scam Newton acting like a arrogant and immature 12 year old over the last week, it is refreshing to know Calvin will be wearing a Lions jersey for years to come
A True Gentlemen! Makes me proud to be a lion fan.
I know right
I havent watched letterman since forever but watching that clip he seemed like a serious dbag. seems like an arrogant old man
I think I understand the curse
As mentioned in your article “being in the media” , to much non-football activities surrounding the Cover, makes them a little soft start of season.
