Is it just me, or has cheating almost become a way of life for some people? In this day and age, cheating has become so commonplace that, to some people, it's almost forgivable. If you haven't been cheated on (or cheated on someone else) yourself, I'm willing to bet you know someone who has cheated or been cheated on.
The actual facts, while they focus on marital infidelity, are troubling (gathered by truthaboutdeception.com ):
An estimated 30-60 percent of married people will cheat on their spouse at some point in their relationship. (The numbers increased 20 percent for women and 45 percent for men under the age of 30 between 1991 and 1996, according to a study cited in The Wall Street Journal .)
Infidelity is most common under the age of 30.
Approximately 2-3 percent of children are products of infidelity.
Workforce romances are becoming more and more common.
While we all know that cheating is wrong, the factors that play into cheating or that blur the line as to what constitutes cheating are greater than ever before.
