In a remarkable video from 1978, 28 year old MIT grad Benjamin Netanyahu debates whether there should be a Palestinian state created on the West Bank and Gaza. Netanyahu argues that such a state would have but one goal: to destroy the Jewish state of Israel. He reviews the history from 1948 to 1967, when Gaza was controlled by Egypt and the West Bank by Jordan and there were no calls to end the occupation, or for national sovereignty for the Palestinians.

But one thing was similar in that period and today: terror attacks against Israeli Jews. Netanyahu went by the name of Benjamin Nitay at the time. His brother, Yonatan was an Israeli commando who led the Entebbe raid on July 4, 1976 during which he died. Netanyahu chose to use the name Nitay at MIT, where he was one year behind me, in large part for security reasons due to his brother's notoriety and the spate of Palestinian terror attacks aimed at Israelis all over the world.

That is just funny. Why would people "flee on their own ?" and, if they did, why not let them back after the war is over ? And for equality - see statistics on discrimination in budget in education, in municipal fundings, in employment. Although Arabs are 20% - there has been been only one supreme court judge until now. No representation in government offices. official calls for ethnic transfer. The law of citizenship that explicitly discriminates against Palestinians. That's reality.

i'm sorry, but at least half (some historians would argue more than half) of the palestinian refugees fled on their own, they weren't driven out by jews. in some cases, yes, that happened, as it unfortunately does in all wars. as for civil rights in israel, everyone is equal. jews do not have supremacy over arabs. an arab judge just convicted a former jewish president of israel to jail for rape. arabs enjoy full legal and civil equality.

The history of land purchase is a little different than what you describe. And - you do admit that 700,000 Palestinians have been driven out of their homes (elderly, women, children). In England - a Jewish citizen enjoys full equality. In Palestine, the new Jewish (or non Jewish) immigrants enjoy more rights than the people who have been born there. If you wish to say that there is no Jewish supremacy in Israel, then you are "tripping" completely.

how is jews buying land from local arabs "at the expense" of the arabs. more like at the expense of jews. if you're referring to the refugee issue, that came about in a war STARTED by the arabs, and if the arabs had won that war, all the jews would have been killed, like arab leaders said. as for the democratic state, its not supremacist for jews to want their own country. arabs have 22 arab states for arabs, the english have an english state, and the chinese have a chinese state
