Q. and A. With a Times Reporter About New York Hydrofracking Rules

In an effort to reduce the risks associated with the controversial natural-gas drilling method known as hydrofracking, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo is pursuing a plan to limit the practice to several struggling counties along the Pennsylvania border, only in towns that approve the technology, Danny Hakim reported in The New York Times on Wednesday morning.

Mr. Hakim , who covers state politics in Albany, will be taking questions from readers on the Cuomo plan. Please submit questions in the comments box below, and we will publish answers throughout the day.
