Sven-Goran Eriksson has denied holding talks over the recent vacated head coaching role at Fiorentina , despite being spotted in Florence.
Delio Rossi was dismissed from his position after attacking the club's midfielder Adam Ljajic following an altercation during the side's 2-2 draw with Novara midweek with Vincenzo Guerini being placed in charge until the end of the season.

Eriksson, who has previously coached England, Lazio and Sampdoria, enjoyed a spell at the Viola between 1987 and 1989 - but he refuted reports that he could be set to rejoin the Artemio Franchi outfit.
"I'm always tied to this splendid city. My son lives here and I came to visit. I’m here on vacation and not for talks with Fiorentina," the Swede told the Corriere Fiorentino newspaper.
"The team is going through a bad campaign, but the Viola will be safe from the drop. Of that I am convinced. As for finding their new coach, Fiorentina will do that calmly and not rush the decision."
Eriksson has been out of work since October 2011 when he was dismissed from English Championship club Leicester City.
