BlogWorld, the world’s largest international blogging conference – has acquired TBEX, the world’s largest travel blogging conference.

Today TBEX has risen to a new high, following the announcement that it has been acquired by BlogWorld . The acquisition, the valuation of which remains undisclosed, propels TBEX even further into the lead as the industry’s biggest event. BlogWorld officials describe their involvement in the takeover as

…[taking] over all production and operations for TBEX events and use our experience to help TBEX and the travel blogging community grow.

BlogWorld has had a stellar reputation for years in the wider blogging community and has cemented itself in North America as one of the most prestigious blogging and new media events in the world. With the acquisition comes a team who are accustomed to running very large events, very efficiently. TBEX founder Kim Mance started the conference from nothing and has had great success with events for the last few years, in her own words she describes the reason for the acquisition as

As a writer with a love for new media, event planning was just never my strong point, and it became clear we needed to get some pros to come in and save the day with logistics and planning. To my delight, while looking at hiring event planners, I got a call from BlogWorld’s CEO, Rick, and we began to talk about TBEX instead being acquired and run by a group who could really help take the event to the next level.
